Upstairs, you will find a spacious double bedroom, a twin room filled with toys, games, and books, and a fun bathroom. Our home is fitted with central heating, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout the year.

The fully-equipped kitchen at Saffron House has everything you need for a self-catering holiday, including an AGA and an electric cooker, a washer/dryer, and a microwave. There are also two fridges, one of which has a small freezer section. You'll find everything you need to prepare your meals and enjoy your stay.

Step outside to enjoy Fowey’s charming narrow streets, home to an array of galleries, crafts, cafés and local artisan producers. The nearest beach, Readymoney Cove – with its French Chateau-like fortress above – is a 10-minute stroll. St Catherine’s Castle and the National Trust-owned Covington Woods are also close by. For coastal scenery at its best, stroll along the cliff path to Coombe Beach.

Fowey is blessed with many beautiful walks, with something for every level of ability and interest. Here are just a couple of our favourites:
Gribbin Head to Polkerris Beach Circular Walk: Starting from Readymoney beach, this circular walk offers breathtaking views of the coastline and takes in several hidden coves, historic castles, and charming woods. The highlight of the walk is the stunning view from Gribbin Head's iconic daymark, with its panoramic vistas of the coast and sea. Fowey Hall Walk: This walk takes you through some of the most beautiful and peaceful scenery around Fowey. Beginning at Fowey Hall, the route takes you along the still green waters of Pont Pill, offering spectacular views of Fowey Harbour. You'll also have the chance to take two ferry rides as part of the circular route, and the woodland and creek areas are teeming with wildlife and offer the perfect opportunity to spot birds and other wildlife.

Fabulous location, great restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Had a great stay over Christmas and new year. House is very comfortable, clean and had everything needed for a great stay. Easy walk to Readymoney beach for dog walking. All the cafes and restaurants seemed to accept dogs. Robert responded to any queries quickly.

Please note that there is no on site parking however there are several car parks available
Free parking is available on the Esplanade and at Park Road. Cornwall Council sells online weekly tickets for the Main, Readymoney & Caffa Mill car parks. More details are given here: https://kirkgatehouse.com/saffronhouseparking

Saffron House is 300m from the main Fowey bus stop at the Safe Harbour pub which is 25 minutes bus ride to Par Station with excellent connections to London and the Midlands. If traveling by taxi please pre book well in advance eg Yeo's Taxis on 01726 814095

By agreement, well-behaved dogs are welcome at Saffron House with an additional fee of £30 to cover cleaning costs. Please ring to discuss on 07952 340697.
