The rooms are en suite and are located on the first floor, accessed via one flight of stairs. Each room is en suite and features tasteful decor. The superior double room boasts a charming 17th-century ambiance and offers a view of Kirkgate, a medieval street. The standard double and twin rooms overlook the courtyard and provide a partial view of Knaresborough Castle.
Unfortunately we do not take pets in the guest house.

For the adventurous, Abbey Road leads to St Robert's Cave and Chapel of the Holy Cross, dating back to the early 13th century. Additionally, guests with walking boots can enjoy scenic walks along the Nidd Gorge.

What a lovely stay, Karen is so welcoming and helpful. The room is really comfortable with lovely added touches, had the most amazing sleep. Extremely clean The breakfast was fantastic, lovely breakfast room with a lovely fire I would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone Thanks for a nice stay
There is no on site parking. Upon arrival, guests are welcome to drop off their luggage and collect a key. We can help with choosing the best car park option to suit your needs. One option is the York Place long stay car park, which is located 8 minutes away on foot and costs £1.60 for 24 hours of parking. Another option is the Castle Yard car park, which is just 200 yards from the property and offers free overnight parking. For non-blue badge holders, it costs £1.60 for 4 hours of parking with unlimited free parking available for blue badge holders.
Kirkgate House is located just 120 yards from Knaresborough railway station, offering convenient access with half hourly trains to Leeds, Harrogate, and York. The journey to Harrogate takes eight minutes.
